Bernina 990 Knob and Bobbin Winder Guards (24 Color Choices!)

These guards provide peace-of-mind when transporting your Bernina 990 machine by helping to ensure that the knobs and bobbin winder don't get bumped and broken. The knob guard is custom designed to protect the two front multifunction knobs on the Bernina 990 (sewing machine not included). The knobs on the 990 are very different than the knobs on other Bernina machines, but this guard is designed to provide a satisfying click when pushed onto the knobs. It may be a little tight the first few times you remove it, but you can press on the knobs as you pull it off. After a few times, it should loosen up a bit to make it easier to remove.

The bobbin winder protector that fits the 990 will fit any Bernina machine that uses the jumbo black bobbins. It protects the bobbin winder and also keeps the switch from accidently being pushed into bobbin-winding mode. AND it provides a handy place to store the little Torx screwdriver used to replace the needle! (screwdriver not included)

These protectors are available in 24 colors and the knob guard includes a starry 3D effect on the front can reflect light in different colors even though the guard is made of a single color of plastic, as shown in the video of a Hot Pink protector. Get a set of both the knob protector and bobbin winder protector to preserve your investment in your Bernina machine (although they are also available as individual units).

All of the parts in my shop are designed by me using CAD software and made to order in wide variety of colors using my own 3D printer. 3D printed parts may have lines or other visible surface features which are not defects, but are a normal part of the 3D printing process. Note that while these guards are designed to protect the knobs and bobbin winder, it is impossible to provide a guarantee that the knobs or bobbin winder won't be damaged in enough force is applied; thus, no warranty against damage to the machine when using these guards is provided.
